SSSC Awards

Members of our council attended the National NAESC Conference held at the University of Texas at Austin March 4-7, 2010. There we received the following awards: Best Engineering Council and Best Publication/Website. We also received honorable mentions in the following categories: Best Outreach Event (Leadership Advantage) and Most Active NAESC Conference. We are very excited that we were voted the best engineering council in the nation!

However, the thing that we are most proud of is that we received the bid for the 2011 NAESC
National Conference! It will be held April 14-17, 2011 at the Galt House. This is also Thunder weekend, so it is sure to be plenty of fun! If you would like to held plan this conference, please contact Allie Jackson to join a committee.

Here on campus, we have also received the Best Collaboration Award. It was awarded for all of our collaborative work throughout the year, but most especially for our work with societies and outside corporations on E-Expo.

Congratulations to everyone on SSSC for helping us to win these many and varied awards. Let's continue our work next year and continue to win these fabulous awards!

Feel free to post anything related to Speed Council or any of the Speed School Societies. Keep us updated on upcoming events, meetings, or whatever we need to know about!

When you post, please place a label (NAESC, SSSC, ASME, SWE, etc.) so that our posts can be somewhat organized. This way, if someone wants to view all of the NSBE posts for instance, they can easily be directed there by the labels.
